Honoring Veterans Day: Mizzen+Main's Ongoing Commitment to Those Who Served

Veterans Day is one day set aside to recognize something that deserves recognition all year: the service and sacrifice of the men and women who've worn a U.S. uniform. Unlike Memorial Day, which honors those lost in service, Veterans Day on November 11 honors everyone who's served, living and gone.
For Mizzen+Main, that recognition isn't limited to one day in November. The brand's commitment to veterans and military families runs through charitable partnerships, a standing military discount, and a leadership team that includes veterans themselves. Here's how Mizzen+Main gives back this Veterans Day and throughout the year.
Mizzen+Main's Commitment to Serving Veterans
Mizzen+Main's connection to the military community isn't a seasonal marketing moment. CEO Ryan Kent has said the company feels "forever indebted to the servicemen and women" who've made sacrifices for the country, and that commitment carries extra weight given Kent's own background: he's a veteran himself.
That perspective shapes how the company gives back. Rather than a single donation once a year, Mizzen+Main has built ongoing partnerships with organizations doing hands-on work with veterans, service members, and military families, a commitment that's now several years running, and backs it up with a standing discount for anyone who's served.
Giving Back Through Mizzen+Main's Veterans Initiative
Each year, Mizzen+Main from its designated Veterans Day T-shirts to veteran-focused nonprofits. The company has partnered with four organizations doing different kinds of work in the veteran community.
Adaptive Training Foundation
Adaptive Training Foundation is a Dallas-based nonprofit that runs free adaptive training programs for veterans and others living with traumatic injuries. Founded in 2014 by former NFL player David Vobora, the organization focuses on what athletes can still do rather than what an injury has taken away. Mizzen+Main sponsors an athlete through the program's Redefine course four times a year, with a team member on-site twice a week to support them.
Legacies Alive
Legacies Alive supports Gold Star families, the relatives left behind when a service member is killed in the line of duty, and works to keep the stories of those fallen service members from being forgotten. Gold Star families rarely get the same visibility that veterans themselves do, even though the loss they carry is tied directly to that same service. The organization was founded by combat veterans who understand that loss firsthand.
Navy SEAL Foundation
The Navy SEAL Foundation provides support for the warriors, veterans, and families of Naval Special Warfare, standing behind SEALs and Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen both during active service and long after they've left it.
Special Operators Transition Foundation
has spent over a decade helping elite Special Operations veterans move into leadership roles in business and their communities after their military careers end. The shift from a career built on precision and performance under pressure to civilian work isn't always smooth, and SOTF exists to make it less disorienting.
Every one of these partnerships is funded in part by the Veterans Day t-shirts themselves. Buying one is a direct way to support the work.
Mizzen+Main's Military Discount
Beyond the yearly Veterans Day t-shirts, Mizzen+Main offers a standing discount for anyone currently serving or who has served: 15% off full-price orders, year-round. Verification runs through ID.me, a third-party service that confirms military and veteran status without requiring anyone to dig up old paperwork or mail in a copy of a DD-214.
The discount works both online and in Mizzen+Main stores, so it's available whether someone's shopping from home or trying on a shirt in person. Details and verification are on the military discount page(opens in new window).
